Trip Overview

This blog will follow two totally inexperienced bikepackers, Geoff and Cam, and their journey from Banff to Mexico via the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. The route follows the Continental Divide, exposing riders to high altitude, diverse wildlife, and solitude. To learn more about the route, check this out. Randy will be the official bookie so get in touch with him if you'd like to place a wager on how far we will actually make it.

In the mean time, you can track our progress here thanks to our SPOT device.

This will be a site where we will try our best to post some pictures and stories along the way. Happy reading!

Day 19 - CPH to Macks Inn

Montana has been absolutely wonderful, but the two of us were pretty eager to escape into Idaho.  We did so this afternoon by cresting a ridge and riding into Idaho.  I don't know why we expected anything different... Idaho is beautiful.  We descended the Divide into a beautiful area bordering a lake.  We rode  into Macks Inn - a small little camping oriented town that featured a laundromat and showers.  Just when you think you finally get a tan, it washes right off...

Idaho is over the mountains!

This horse moo's.

The timer went off before we could flash our thumbs up.  Instead G has a limp arm and C is flexin'

Montana inside Idaho.
