We left this morning after exchanging goodbyes with Tom and Patty. It was a bit of a lull day today... Mostly flat terrain heading into the climb. The ascent proved to be tougher than expected due to really hot, stagnant air with zero cloud cover. We also learned our lesson to always filter water when you can, as we both ran dry nearing the end of our run. We ended up backcountry camping beside what we learned was a freezing cold river. Coldest "bath" I've ever taken. We passed out at about 7:30pm and G woke up with a bunny rabbit sleeping in his vestibule.
